WARRANTY TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR BATTERIES USED IN E-RICKSHAW

Warranty Period

The standard warranty period for our products will be as per terms and conditions mentioned on the product to the original consumer. The user manual provides specific details regarding the warranty period for each product.

For a battery being replaced Free of Cost, the warranty commences from the date of sale of the original battery, as stated in the original Invoice, not from the date of replacement given.

Conditions for Warranty Claims

• Proof of purchase: Customers must provide a receipt or invoice showing the date of purchase.
• Product registration: Customer must register the product to activate the warranty.
• Proper use: The product must be used according to the manufacturer's guidelines to avoid voiding the warranty.
• Maintenance: Regular maintenance (if required) may need to be performed for the warranty to remain valid.
• Dry: If the battery is dry running, the warranty does not stand.
• Overcharge: If the battery is overcharged, the warranty does not stand.

Warranty Termination Clauses

• The defective battery arising out of the free replacement under this warranty will become the property of the Company and no scrap rebate will be given for it.
• All liabilities under this Warranty shall cease if:
  • The battery has been operated in an application that it was not designed for and/or marketed to support/Company's Application.
  • The battery has been refilled with additives, dopes, or any other substance besides de-mineralized water that may have contaminated the battery.
  • Damaged due to fitment of additional accessories in the vehicle other than the original fitment
  • Out of Warranty Period.
  • Transferred to any other party other than the original purchaser.

Important Notes

• In the event of any particular battery model being phased out, the Company reserves the right to provide another model of the same capacity suited to the vehicle, as settlement of Warranty
• This warranty can be denied on merely discharged batteries and for batteries damaged due to abuse or neglect including but not limited to the following:
  • Damages to the battery caused by accidents, fire, faulty systems, improper handling, service of battery by unauthorized dealers/auto electricians, wilful abuse, destruction by fire, collision, theft, or recharging.
  • Breakage of container and cover or breakage/deformation of terminal due to mechanical shock like hammering.
  • Failure of battery due to deep discharge, overcharge, or improper topping up.
  • Batteries are operated in discharged condition for long periods.

Additional Conditions

• The charging system of the vehicle shall be checked by the Company's authorized personnel or dealer before finalizing the settlement of any Warranty Claim. Recharging of battery shall be billed as extra.
• Any Goods and Service Tax that becomes leviable on the battery under repair or replacement shall be borne by the customer.
